fairford rally 2009.

the weekend of the 22 & 23 of august saw me and luke head off to what was are first proper rally since owning 11956, the weekend was a very good experience for me and luke and a very exhausting one to, on the saturday the rally was opened by Willie carson and after that it was the grand parade and our very first with the engine which was a very enjoyable experience . on the saturday night we headed down to the eight bells pub in fairford and spent the evening there and they way back to the field was a great exsperience as this was my first time driving the roller at night ( and what great fun it was ) , the sunday was a good day to and after the show we headed straight back to the rollers home in kempsford and wer easily overtaken by the must faster burell showmans loco king george vi, overall a very good weekend was had by all .

the weekend before the fairford rally saw us head over to fairford from lotmead farm in swindon with nigel’s roller, the jounery there was some what eventful as first of all the clack valve stuck and then the oiler pot on the cross head broke but a good trip was head by all .
